The pelvic floor refers to a group of muscles that sit in the pelvic inlet, like a hammock, and serves five critical functions in the body. When there is injury or dysfunction to the pelvic floor or nearby structures, whether it is due to trauma, pregnancy, menopause, pelvic or abdominal surgeries, cancer treatments, or falls, one can experience a number of problems such as pelvic girdle pain, incontinence, low back pain, sexual dysfunction, & pelvic organ prolapse just to name a few. New patients should start with a 60 minute Initial Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy Assessment where we will be addressing your concerns and goals for treatment, and providing some treatment and exercise prescription in this first session!
*Virtual sessions do not include an internal assessment, however, one can be arranged in an in-clinic session; if deemed necessary and with your consent to do so.
